ACUVUE (J&J)
I can assure you that none of the components used in the manufacture of our contact lens products are sourced from any animal and they are free of animal by-products.
Our position on animal testing is set out in the following statement:-
Statement on Animal Testing: update October 2018
Johnson and Johnson Vision, the maker of ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses, does not conduct any animal testing on approved products that are already available, nor does the company use any animal derived materials in its finished products.
However, all contact lens manufacturers with devices in development that will use new material or processes are required by regulatory authorities to do a minimal amount of testing on animals to check for safety before placing them on the human eye.
