A person who refrains from eating meat, however will consume and use animal bi-products, i.e. won't eat meat but will drink milk and use leather.

A person who omits any animal product and bi-product from their life, i.e. meat, milk and leather.
What is cruelty free?
Products that are not manufactured or developed by a method which involves cruelty to animals.

What Do the Different Colours Mean?
Vegan (Ve)
This means that no animal-derived ingredients or animal by-products have been used in the products manufacture.
Vegetarian (V)
This means that no animal-derived ingredients have been used in the products manufacture, however animal by-products such as beeswax (Cera Alba) may have been used in the manufacturing process or on the same manufacturing line.
Possibly Vegan / Vegetarian
Please consult the description to see whether there is a range of vegan / vegetarian products on offer as part of the brand / company or if the response from the company was vague
Not Vegan / Vegetarian
The response from the company concluded that there was either animal-derived ingredient or animal testing, consult the description for more clarification
